Midtown and Downtown Tulsa are rapidly growing areas that offer safe neighborhoods for single-families, college graduates, and those who are new to the city! Today, I will be talking about the top three most popular neighborhood locations in the Tulsa area that are within walking distance from some of the best local hotspots!
Cherry Street
Neighborhoods located near Cherry Street offer quaint, single-family homes that are great for first-time homeowners looking for an affordable and safe area. If you live in this neighborhood, then you will be walking distance from some of Tulsa’s most well-known local restaurants including SMOKE. Woodfire Grill, Kilkenny’s Irish Pub, Roosevelt’s and so much more! One of Tulsa’s most popular coffee shops is also located here: The Coffee House on Cherry Street. When you drive through these neighborhoods, it looks like a picture out of a movie! 15th and Trenton St. (pictured to the left) is one of my favorite streets in this neighborhood, especially during the fall.
Brookside
Neighborhoods walking distance to Brookside are also great for first-time homeowners as well as college students who have recently graduated offering exciting nightlife and a variety of places to shop and dine! Brookside offers diverse cuisine from Café Ole, Louisiana inspired Doc’s Wine & Food, Blue Moon Café, and In the Raw Sushi just to name a few. Brookside is a growing area and many families find themselves settling down here because of the safe environment and all the activities. Neighborhoods here on Brookside offer many houses either for rent or sale and locations like this are hard to pass up! These neighborhoods are beautiful and well-kept with an abundance of mature trees!
Downtown Tulsa
Downtown Tulsa is a rapidly growing area that offers a variety of shops and local restaurants and bars to visit! Within the downtown area, many new apartment buildings are popping up, offering a great location for those who are new to the city. There many activities to do in the downtown area from watching a Tulsa Drillers baseball game at the ONEOK Field to enjoying a unique outdoor shopping experience at the Boxyard to visiting the Tulsa Performing Arts Center and so much more! Over the past couple of years, downtown Tulsa has made many improvements to this area allowing a safe and family-friendly location.
