Weekend Solo Trip in Tulsa

Planning a solo trip soon? Why not consider one to Tulsa

Where To Stay

Tulsa has so many things to do for solo travelers. To start your trip off you can plan to stay in the historic Mayo Hotel downtown which gives you walking distance to some of the coolest parts of Tulsa and includes the rooftop restaurant and bar perfect for a late-night drink. Another gorgeous hotel to stay in is the Ambassador Hotel in Tulsa, surrounded by some of the most historic buildings in Tulsa this hotel is luxury at its finest, if that’s what you’re looking for. Also, if you are worried about safety, these hotels are in the safer part of downtown and both feature restaurants in the hotel, if you don’t feel like walking late at night.

Things To Do

Tulsa features so many things to do while being solo. To start the day, you could do a self-guided tour of Tulsa, it is one of the best ways to see the city, especially if you have never been. You can do the downtown walking tour of Tulsa or go to GPSMyCity to do a tour around various parts of Tulsa. Another perfect activity is to spend the afternoon walking through the Philbrook Museum of Art filled with some historic art pieces and beautiful gardens, you really need no company to enjoy the beautiful art featured here. Another solo activity is taking a stroll through the Tulsa Botanic Gardens, these gardens are filled with some of the most beautiful flowers, it is truly so relaxing.

Restaurants To Visit

For breakfast I would suggest visiting Bramble, as they have some of the best brunch in Tulsa and you can stay near the downtown area. Eating here for one will get you a table in under 20 minutes which beats some wait times of up to an hour for larger parties, a must for breakfast in Tulsa. For lunch visit the Vault, this historic building was once a bank in Tulsa but is now converted to an art-deco restaurant. They have some of the best soups and sandwiches and is truly a hidden gem in Tulsa. Lastly for dinner a must while in Tulsa is Juniper rre4stuarant, this boutique restaurant is the perfect spot for a solo dinner date. The friendly staff and delicious food is the best way to end your night in Tulsa.

As you can see Tulsa truly is a solo trip friendly city and this is just the surface of things you can do while taking a solo weekend trip to Tulsa.
